a hit-and-run in oakland that killed a bicyclists police have now arrested a woman in connection with last night's crash. officers found the victim in the 2600 block of p era lta street at about 10:20. he was pronounced dead at the hospital. according to the oakland tribune the driver returned to the scene a few hours later and police took her into custody. investigators have not yet released the names of either the victim or the driver. >>> we now know the identity of a man killed in a head on crash yesterday morning on highway 54 in sonol. 46-year-old todd sherr was driving east when he crossed a double yellow line and into the path of another vehicle. sherrwood was pronounced dead at the scene. the driver and two passengers in that second car had minor injuries. >>> we have new information about a triple shooting at a san francisco nightclub. police say the shooting early yesterday morning stemmed from an argument inside the 330 rich nightclub not far from at&t park. authorities have determined one man was shot inside the club. another was shot in front of the club and the thi

to the desk. >> in over night news three people are in custody after a wild high speed chase in oakland. officers say it may be connected to a drive by shooting that injured an innocent bystander. tara moriarty is in hayward this morning. >> reporter: police say this is where it all began where a drive by shooting happened yesterday afternoon. it wasn't until hours later that authorities chased down the suspect. police tried to pull the driver over in hayward just after 11:00 for reckless driving but he sped off. the car spun out of control on 580 between harrison and park and police cars smashed into it to box the driver in and arrest him. people in the car were throwing things out on to the roadway during the chase. they never found those objects but officers did find weapons inside when the vehicle was finally stopped and three people were taken into custody. authorities say those three may be involved in an earlier drive- by shooting. >> there was an earlier incident that involved a shooting from a vehicle. right now we are determining if this vehicle was involved in that. >> report

police often a chase from hayward to oakland. the car crashed into the center median on eastbound 580 between grand avenue and park boulevard around midnight. the officer noticed the car was swerving and tried to pull the driver over but he took off. the investigators are trying to figure out if the same car was involved in a drive by shooting, as well. >> the family of a bay area marine killed on thursday's shooting at quantico marine base is making plans to go to washington, dc, to receive her remains. a pentagon official tells the "washington post" the shooting may have arisen from a romantic entanglement. a woman was shot to death with a marine from mississippi by a 25-year-old instructor, sergeant lopez of pacifica. lopez, then, shot himself. her mother and sister were notified by the marine corps at their home on friday. they want her to be remembered for her smile. >> everyone can tell you her smile. she always had a smile on her face. >> this is sara's prom picture. she joined the marines after graduating from high school. lopez served one tour in iraq and two tours in afghani

are in custody after a wild high speed chase in oakland. officers say it may be connected to a drive by shooting that injured an innocent bystander. tara moriarty is in hayward this morning. >> reporter: police say this is where it all began where a drive by shooting happened yesterday afternoon. it wasn't until hours later that authorities chased down the suspect. police tried to pull the driver over in hayward just after 11:00 for reckless driving but he sped off. the car spun out of control on 580 between harrison and park and police cars smashed into it to box the driver in and arrest him. people in the car were throwing things out on to the roadway during the chase. they never found those objects but officers did find weapons inside when the vehicle was finally stopped and three people were taken into custody. authorities say those three may be involved in an earlier drive- by shooting. >> there was an earlier incident that involved a shooting from a vehicle. right now we are determining if this vehicle was involved in that. >> reporter: now

oakland, folks down in the peninsula, we had latino -- we had whole families coming together. folks from the projects. we had folks recently released from prison. we just had a great mixture of people and now my tree hospice of course we have an incredible mix of folks. one of the things that we worked on in doing any of our planning work when doing -- like for the march for equality, is we have this really great diverse group of people. so, we have older folks like myself and cleve jones, and then we have kids that are like 20 years old. we have kids that are, you know, mixed race. it's been an incredible project, and that is -- i guess that's what makes any of this work really exciting and it's when there is a great diversity of people. age wise, for me age wise as well as ethnicity as well as cultural income, you know, like life line san francisco is very welcoming of people. people socialize that are -- people on disability, people that are poor folks and people that are wealthy folks. i find it's way different from i came from new york. it's very different from new york. >> thank yo
